Concept statement in her own words: how can a garment hold something that disappears the moment we try to remember it, with her dream light composite and the first palette strip.
Concept board 01, Fragments of Awakening: her collage of the first seconds after waking, dream imagery still overlapping the real room.
Concept board 02, Between Consciousness: city, body and landscape stretched into continuous streams as thought reconnects.
Concept board 03, Residual Dreams: overlapping hands layered so a gesture reads as an afterimage rather than a movement.
Concept board 07, the same chapter resolved as painted hands, the quietest image in the sequence.
Concept board 04, Aurora: the title metaphor, a zone of light between darkness and awareness with no fixed edge.
Concept board 05, Nature Inside Memory: the body dissolving into flowers, terrain and blue line work.
Concept board 06, Quiet Recognition: black patches and white space as reality begins to take weight again.
Colour board: threshold blue, dream residue and silent light, with the material direction and the ten swatch row.
Textiles and shape index board 01: her ink and photo collage read as dense organic mass, modular grid and dissolving perimeter.
Index board 03: ink diffusion and fragmented petals, the most open and colourful of the index studies.
Index board 05: botanical contour, lace network and the first cool blue accent entering the field.
Index board 06: feather volume and flight sequence, the bird studies behind the petal modules.
Index board 07: layered collage of her own material samples, closing on light to trace to craft to structure.
Her six step method for turning reference into garment language, crop, trace, abstract, distort, volume, garment, shown with her own material collage.

Design Development

Room 03 · 15 boards on view, 44 in the complete room

Opening board: the four look silhouette study with her process line, initial form to distortion to material test to edit to realised outcome.
Early illustration pair: a vast black ink gown beside the first menswear cocoon, the collection at its most theatrical.
Colour exploration pair in pink and lilac, a direction that stayed exploratory and never reached the final three.
Marbled poncho direction: the printed surface treated as one continuous painted field over shorts.
Single figure with ink sweeping away from the body, the most resolved of the movement studies.
Refined pair close to the final womenswear: printed shard volume beside a sheer draped version.
Menswear cocoon beside the sheer embroidered dress, the two halves of the collection in one plate. Her largest artwork file at 5898 by 5169, so it can carry a full bleed.
Tech pack 01 opens the run: sculpted applique panels build a jacket to 60 to 65 cm outward from the torso, closing in moulded organic footwear.
Tech pack 05 gathers fragments into one mass: petal and flame modules overlay a fitted bodysuit, detachable at 65 to 80 cm width, zipped at the back.
Tech pack 18 anchors on the corset: layered ruffle and streamer construction expands the hip to 100 to 125 cm, garter straps holding the fitted base steady.
Tech pack 19 pushes the second body to its extreme: radiating rods project 45 to 65 cm from a detachable hip module, the corset base staying controlled beneath.
Look A option review: reference, volume test, silhouette edit, material translation and the final call, all annotated.
Look B option review: the radial sweep broken into angular shards and anchored by a quiet fitted bodice.
Look C option review: tailoring distorted, opened and blurred into a protective shell.
Finalised outcome: the illustrated line up set beside the first photoshoot frames, look by look.

Material Experiments

↑ TopCommission

Room 04 · 16 boards on view

Room map: four material boards re-read as technical development, what was tested, what entered the final garments and why.
Digital print language 01: six print directions from fragmented memory to organic distortion, monochrome throughout.
Print language 02: transition and motion, dream bloom, constellation trace and the ink transition studies.
Print language 05 and 06: fluid energy and soft bloom giving way to the muted blue grey memory field.
Memory layering, print to construction: full surface print, laser cut, fragment, re-layer, embellish.
Look A toile development: paper prototype to boned foundation, including the strap kept then removed and the fabric burn on record.
Look B toile development: skirt volume draped repeatedly until the bodice panels merged into one continuous embroidered line.
Look C toile development: the collar moved to the back and the silhouette pulled away from performance costume toward menswear.
Embroidery experience: tulle bloom, metallic memory core and linear bead trace, nine tactile studies.
Embroidery experience: organza petal units from readable flower to unstable material field.
Embroidery as memory layer: cut, anchor, accumulate, interrupt, scale across looks.
What survived into Look A: hundreds of non identical organza petals over a boned foundation, density rising at the shoulder.
What survived into Look B: botanical trace embroidery with mirror fragments, the dream kept readable before it breaks.
What survived into Look C: Vietnamese brocade with turquoise hand embroidery under a sheer aurora layer.
Accessory surface tests: beaded hosiery, fringed footwear and the hand lacquered resin earrings, with the unresolved experiments named.
Digital print language 03, dream residue: diffused matter, organic trace and suspended motion studies continuing the print development sequence.

Cloth is tested the way ideas are tested. By hand, until it yields.
